Makkah Route” Initiative Facilitates Procedures for Elderly Pilgrims in Bangladesh

The “Makkah Route” initiative, which the Ministry of Interior launched within the program to serve pilgrims, is one of the programs of the Saudi Vision 2030, and focused on providing care for elderly beneficiaries in Bangladesh, by assisting them with completing the procedures for their departure to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to perform the rituals of Hajj this year 1444 AH.

An employee from the “Makkah Route” initiative will assist the elderly pilgrims by escorting them to enter the initiative hall at Shahjalal International Airport and to the counter, where the procedures start with collecting vital information, followed by streamlined passport procedures in the departure country’s airport. These steps are fulfilled after verifying the validation of health requirements.

The Ministry of the Interior continues to provide the “Makkah Route” initiative for the fifth year in seven countries: Bangladesh, Morocco, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Turkiye, and Cote d’Ivoire, as part of the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in facilitating Hajj procedures for international pilgrims.
