Riyadh: Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail is scheduled to start today an official three-day visit to Spain, to boost relations and assess the collaboration between the two countries in the field of housing, urban infrastructure, development, real estate, and digital and environmental transformation.
Al-Hogail is scheduled to meet with Minister of Housing and Urban Agenda Isabel Rodríguez García, Minister of Digital Transformation and Civil Service José Luis Escrivá Belmonte, and Third Vice-President of the Government of Spain and Minister for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge Teresa Ribera Rodríguez, to discuss cooperation to develop infrastructure, housing projects, and smart cities.
He will also meet with heads of several companies specialized in technology, infrastructure, cities, renewable energy projects, and buildings.
Al-Hogail will also visit the School of Business Administration at IE University and the National Confederation of Constructio
n Industry, for a firsthand look at the most successful Spanish experience in urban and real estate development.
Al-Hogail recently visited the UK, Finland, China, Turkiye, the Republic of Korea, and Morocco, where he met with senior government officials, as well as representatives of several companies, investors, and businesspeople, to discuss cooperation and investment opportunities in urban development, construction, real estate development, contracting, smart cities, and urban development.
