MKCC team performs accurate surgeries

The medical team at the Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Centre (MKCC), led by Dr. Husam Abdulaziz Noor, with the participation of visiting doctors, Dr. James M. McCabe, from the University of Washington Medical Centre in Seattle, USA, and Professor Burkhard Mackensen, the Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Washington. Has managed to perform several accurate operations.

Dr. Husam Noor, in cooperation with the visiting physicians, performed a Tricuspid valve replacement surgery through Interventional catheterization, which is the first of its kind in the kingdom.

The team also conducted four other operations via interventional catheters, including mitral valve repair, using the MitraClip technique and mitral valve replacement.

Major-General Dr. Fuad Abdelkader Saeed, the CEO of MKCC, and the team in charge of the surgeries, expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Brigadier-General Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Acting Commander of the Royal Medical Services, for constant efforts to provide all modern means of treatment on the one hand, and for paving the way to attract international experts and doctors, which contributes to the exchange of therapeutic and medical experiences, as well as enhance medical training, education and development, on the other hand.
