The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hussein Ibrahim Taha, reviewed yesterday with Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit the latest developments in Sudan.
During a telephone conversation, the two sides emphasized the importance of coordination within the framework of regional and international efforts to defuse the crisis, as well as the need to adhere to the humanitarian truce for the delivery of humanitarian aid, as well as to achieve an immediate and permanent cease-fire and the resumption of the peace process through dialogue and negotiation.
