Jeddah, Apr. 15, 2022, SPA — The Secretariat General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly denounced the invasion of Israeli forces and closure of gates of Al-Aqsa mosque, injuring as many as 152 worshippers and arresting hundreds, considering this dangerous escalation an attack against the feelings of the entire Islamic nation and a flagrant violation of the international resolutions and charters.
In a statement, OIC held the Israeli occupation responsible of the repercussions of such daily crimes and offenses against the Palestinian people, their territories and sanctuaries.
OIC also called on the UN Security Council to shoulder its responsibility to protect the Palestinian people as well as the sacred places and prevent the repetition of the Israeli attacks fueling the notion of extremism, religious dispute and instability in the region.
