Syrian -Iraqi talks to develop cooperation in educational field

Baghdad, Iraqi Minister of Education, Ali Hamid al-Dulaymi , discussed with Syrian ambassador in Baghdad, Satam Jada’an al- Dandah , means of developing cooperation between Syria and Iraq  in Scientific and educational fields. A statement by the Iraqi Ministry of Education indicated that Minister al-Dulaymi affirmed his ministry’s keenness to continue cooperation with the Syrian side in all fields and to open new horizons in the domain of reactivating private education, developing curricula and merging technology with education. According to the statement, Dulaymi added that the Iraqi government has willingness to sign a memorandum of understanding with Syria regarding various educational files, including caring for people with special needs. Syria participates in Minsk International Book Fair

Minsk, The Syrian Embassy in Belarus capital of Minsk, participated in the 28th round of Minsk International Book Fair under the title “Books unite Peoples and States” along with 281 exhibitors from 20 countries, among them a number of embassies. Pavilion of the Syrian Embassy at the exhibition included a collection of books, publications, and cultural and tourist brochures available in both Arabic and Russian languages, with the participation of the National Union of Syrian Students in Belarus.   Source: Syrian Arab News Agency

Mikad discusses with Pedersen economic situation in Syria and political process

Damascus, Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Faysal Mikdad, discussed on Monday with UN Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, and an accompanying delegation, a number of issues related to the situation in Syria. Jeddah, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by Jeddah Islamic Port, has received the first and largest container ship in the world completely powered by environment friendly liquefied natural gas (LNG). This marks the container ship's first visit to Saudi Arabia and Jeddah Islamic Port, which is characterized by its high capacity to receive the world's largest ships.
