Baghdad, Head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Pavel Talabani, received, at the party’s political bureau headquarters in Erbil, Brett McGurk, the US President’s envoy for Middle East and North Africa affairs, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, according to a statement by Talabani’s office, they discussed the latest political, economic and security developments in the Kurdistan region and Iraq in general, and stressed the importance of uniting national efforts in order to overcome problems.
The two sides also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations, in order to preserve higher interests.
