Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani participated in the official funeral ceremony for the late Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and their companions, which took place today in Tehran in an international, official and popular presence.
According to a statement from his media office, Al-Sudani read Surah Al-Fatihah in the hall designated for the bodies, and then performed the ceremony of casting the last look at the bodies of the departed.
Al-Sudani arrived in Tehran this morning, at the head of an official delegation that included the President of the Federal Court, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Planning, Interior, Labor and Social Affairs, the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, and the governors of Basra and Wasit, to offer condolences and solidarity on behalf of the government and people of Iraq with the Iranian leadership in this painful incident.
