Gaza – Together – On Monday evening, the city of Rafah witnessed celebrations coinciding with the Hamas movement’s announcement of its approval of a ceasefire, as Palestinians took to the streets of the city, cheering and raising Palestinian flags.
On Monday, the Hamas movement announced that Ismail Haniyeh, head of the movement’s political bureau, informed the head of Egyptian intelligence, Minister Major General Abbas Kamel, and the Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani, of the movement’s approval of the ceasefire proposal.
