Riyadh Gears up for FEI Jumping and Dressage World Cup Finals 2024 on Wednesday


Riyadh: Riyadh is gearing up for the FEI Jumping and Dressage World Cup Finals 2024 with the participation of 51 riders, both male and female, from 24 countries, and 60 horses. This edition of the FEI World Cup finals, running from April 17 to 20, marks the first time for the Middle East to host the competition. Initially planned to amount to 5.2 million Saudi riyals, the prize fund has now reached 10.3 million Saudi riyals, making it the largest in the history of the event.

The opening day, held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC), will feature the Grand Prix in Dressage, followed by the show jumping round with obstacles set up at a height of 1.6 meters. The day will conclude with an exciting performance for the spectators presented by Spanish horseman Santi Serra. The list of show jumping riders includes 34 male and female competitors, led by Swedish champion Henrik Von Eckermann, German rider Isabell Werth, Swiss rider Steve Guerdat, and the French duo Julien Epaillard and
Kent Farrington. Saudi riders Ramzy Al Duhami, Khaled Al-Mobty, and Abdullah Al-Sharbatly will also participate.

In dressage, the list comprises 17 male and female riders, with the German trio of Isabell Werth, Matthias Rath, and Raphael Netz at the forefront, along with the American trio Ben Ebeling, Kevin Kohmann, and Anna Marek. Attendees of the championship will enjoy various accompanying activities, including live art performances, diverse workshops, educational and artistic activities, and entertainment games.

They will also have the opportunity to experience unique shopping areas, commercial outlets, and a dedicated photography zone. The organizing committee has set up a comprehensive media center, equipped with a press conference hall, and specialized professionals providing professional news services to various local and international media outlets. Over 150 media professionals representing 10 Arab and other world countries will be present to cover the event.
