Saudi Arabia To Celebrate World Day for Poverty Eradication Tomorrow

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will share the world the celebrations of the UN International Day for Eradication of Poverty, which falls on tomorrow the 17th of October of each year, highlighting its efforts in achieving development, eradicating poverty and alleviating it, making it as one of the most donor countries in the world, and supporting the activities of international institutions and organizations with programs specializing in the global fight against poverty.

The Kingdom attaches the fight against poverty through its moral and humanitarian responsibility towards others, and it continues to provide aid through King Salman Humanitarian Aid And Relief Centre (KSrelief for poor countries, and to support projects related to food security, water, environmental sanitation, nutrition, health, shelter, educational services, support and coordination of humanitarian operations and other logistical services.

The Kingdom also attaches great importance to development issues and support development efforts in developing countries with the aim of eliminating poverty, and helping peoples facing special and emergency situations and in cases of natural disasters.

Also, it pays great attention to development issues and supports humanitarian initiatives and development efforts related to achieving growth in developing countries, and has made efforts to help achieve food security globally, as KSrelief works on more than 1,700 projects in various fields, including but not limited to: Food security, nutrition, water and environmental sanitation, education, and health, stressing the Kingdom’s commitment to cooperating with international organizations and United Nations bodies to provide the necessary support and work together towards moving forward.
