Saudi Artisanal Company Victorious at World Food Gift Challenge

Abha, Saudi Artisanal Company emerged victorious at this year’s World Food Gift Challenge, claiming two out of 10 awards.

The event was held in the Asir region from April 22 to 25 under the auspices of the Culinary Arts Commission, in collaboration with the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism (IGCAT).

The company participated in a competitive field of global entries evaluated based on, among others, creativity, innovation, and sustainability.

Its ‘Saudi Khawlani Coffee Collection’, inspired by the mountainous terrain of Jazan’s Mount Tallan, won the Best Luxury Item award.

The company’s success continued with the ‘Date Bowls Collection’, which won the Best Contemporary and Interpretation Design award.

The bowls celebrate the Kingdom’s rich heritage and reflect the artistic styles of three distinct cultures: Al-Ahsa, Najd, and Asir.

Senior Public Relations Specialist at Saudi Artisanal Company Salman Alshaker highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting local designers
and artisans, and at expanding their local and global presence, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.

Saudi Artisanal Company, owned by the Heritage Commission, aspires to promote Saudi Arabia’s vibrant handicrafts in the domestic and global markets.
