Saudi Halal Center Participates in Exhibition Held on Sidelines of Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries Meetings

Riyadh, Saudi Halal Center, an initiative of the National Transformation Program of the Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), took part in an exhibition organized on the sidelines of Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) meetings, run for three days from October 31 to November 2, 2021, at the headquarters of King Salman International Convention Center in Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, it was reported here today.

The center’s participation in the exhibition included an introduction to the national halal system, the role of the Saudi Halal Center, its vision and mission, and the services it provides, such as the issuance of halal certificates.

The exhibition, in which 145 representatives from 45 Islamic countries, as well as 14 regional and international organizations, represents an opportunity to boost cooperation and partnerships, and introduce the center’s objectives and plans to project the Kingdom as a leader and reliable reference for halal food and products at the local, regional and global levels.
