Saudi-Russian Justice Ministers Signs MoU on Joint Cooperation

Moscow, Currently on a visit to the Russian Federation, the Saudi Minister of Justice and President of Supreme Judicial Council Sheikh Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al-Samaani signed here today a memorandum of understanding with his Russian counterpart Konstantin Chuichenko.

The memorandum aims to enhance and develop joint cooperation between the Ministries of Justice in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation, with regard to the judicial aspect, as part of the efforts of the Saudi Ministry of Justice to enhance international cooperation in the judicial fields.

On the occasion, Sheikh Dr. Al-Samaani expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Russian side for the hospitality accorded to him and the accompanying delegation, stressing the importance of strengthening global justice partnerships with friendly countries, in a way that enables them to benefit from comparative international experience in accordance with the frameworks that included in the memorandum of understanding.

The memorandum included the exchange of information and experience between the two parties in the judicial fields, in addition to organizing seminars and lectures, studying cases and mutual visits.

The aspects of cooperation in the memorandum also included the areas of training, development of judicial cadres, and preparation of specialized educational programs between the two sides to achieve knowledge enrichment.
