Secretary-General of IMCTC Receives Ambassador of Maldives to Saudi Arabia

Riyadh– The Acting Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), Major General Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghidi, has received the Ambassador of the Republic of the Maldives to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohamed Khaleel and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the ambassador was briefed on the efforts of IMCTC in combating terrorism in the four fields (intellectual, media, combating the financing of terrorism, and the military), the role it plays to coordinate the efforts of the member states of IMCTC, the latest developments related to terrorist groups and acts around the world, and the monitoring and follow-up mechanisms used by IMCTC in this regard.

The ambassador of the Maldives appreciated the great efforts exerted by IMCTC in terms of combating terrorism in partnership with international organizations and alliances concerned with combating terrorism and violent extremist ideology, and the great and pioneering role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting IMCTC.

They also discussed ways of joint cooperation between IMCTC and the Republic of Maldives in combating terrorism in various fields.
