Shtayyeh: ‘We welcome the movement led by university students around the world

Member of the Central Committee of the Fatah Movement, former Prime Minister, Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh: The movement led by university students in the United States and Europe, against genocide and against occupation, is the nucleus of reliable change in the world in favor of the Palestinian cause.

This came during his participation in the Arab Social Democratic Forum and the meeting of the Global Progressive Alliance of Socialist Parties, which were held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, as a representative of the Fatah movement.

Shtayyeh said that the time is ripe to form an international front to end the occupation in which all parties, political movements and churches in all parts of the world participate, in Europe, the United States, South America, Africa, Asia and the Arab world.

He continued: Israel committed three taboos that it would not have committed without international support, which are mass murder, mass displacement, and documented cases of rape.

He stressed: Israel is a rogue state against i
nternational law, and whoever speaks about international law must seek to punish and hold Israel accountable for its actions. After ignoring all calls to stop its crimes, the world must begin imposing sanctions on it.

He explained that the catastrophic scenes of mass graves that are unfolding day after day require more than an international investigation, but rather immediate measures to prevent the continuation of the massacres, calling on the International Court of Justice to issue a new decision related to the ceasefire.

The Prime Minister indicated that the Palestinian Authority is under a political and financial siege, and that Israel aims to destroy it, noting that Israel also aims to prevent the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip to push people to emigrate.

On the other hand, he said, “The attack on UNRWA is an attack on the right of return, and a continuation of the Israeli policy that was in harmony with the deal of the century to erase Palestinian rights.”

Shtayyeh said: ‘The United States is sell
ing an illusion to the Arabs and its continued support for Israel without borders is a counter to the aspirations of the Palestinian people for freedom and independence
