Thaer Mukhaif reveals to NINA the main reasons for the refusal of the political blocs to approve the military service law

Baghdad Member of the Coordinating Framework, MP for the State of Law Coalition, Thaer Mukhaif, revealed the main reasons for the refusal of the political blocs to approve the flag service law.

Mukhaif said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: The political blocs rejected the draft law on serving the flag for several reasons, the most important of which is that it pays annually 7 million young men to enlist throughout Iraq, which needs huge funds estimated at 34 trillion dinars annually if the salary of the conscript is 600 thousand Dinars, and this will drain the state’s resources as salaries, except for building camps and food.

He added, as there is currently sagging in the joints of all security forces, and this matter requires a slimming, and not additions in number to those forces.

Yesterday, the Prime Minister announced the withdrawal of the Military Service Bill from the House of Representatives.
