Baghdad, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah, called for the establishment of a large cultural and artistic festival that reflects the civilization of Iraq.

During his meeting with the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, Abdullah affirmed his full support for the ministry’s efforts and the importance of reviving and preserving heritage, especially that Iraq has an ancient civilization and is distinguished by its cultural diversity.

He called for holding a large cultural and artistic festival to deliver important messages to neighboring countries and the world that there is a state of stability, prosperity and development in the country at all levels.

For his part, Al-Badrani reviewed the most important work and activities of his Ministry, future plans, and expanding horizons of cooperation and joint coordination between the Ministry, the legislative institution, and through parliamentary committees.
