The IJS holds a dialogue session on the occasion of the Int’l Day for Elimination Violence against Women

Baghdad The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate held a dialogue session, today on the occasion of the 16-day global campaign to combat violence against women, under the slogan (No to violence against women), in cooperation with the Department of Fine Arts in the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, in the presence of the Secretary of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate.

The session was moderated by the Director of Relations and Information at the Ministry of Culture, Dr. Zahra Al-Jubouri, who indicated that the United Nations has approved many laws that support women to raise global awareness, due to the brutal violence against them and its elimination in all countries of the world.

She added that the International Day of Violence against Women was designed to draw attention to violence that leads to social and economic crises.

She emphasized that Iraqi women stand at the forefront of women in the world in terms of their leadership and struggle qualities in various fields.

During the session, an exhibition of photographs by Karim Al-Aboudi was held, which included scenes of Iraqi women struggling in various fields.
