The Israeli army launches raids on Hamas positions in the Gaza Strip, and the Palestinian factions confront Israeli planes

The Israeli army announced that it launched raids on Hamas sites in the Gaza Strip.

The army said that Hamas was responsible for the Thursday afternoon rocket fire from southern Lebanon, and that the bombing of Gaza was a response.

He indicated that it targeted sites for manufacturing weapons, a military training site for the factions in the central region, and tunnels in Beit Lahiya and Khan Yunis.

According to Sky News, the Palestinian factions confronted the Israeli planes with surface-to-air missiles, noting that damage was caused to a number of homes and the Al-Durra Children’s Hospital, after bombing sites east and south of the Strip.

It explained that rocket barrages were fired from the Strip at the surrounding Israeli settlements, and that Iron Dome intercepted a number of them.

Israeli media reported that the dome intercepted 44 Palestinian rockets, while one landed on the Sderot settlement, adjacent to the Gaza border.

Meanwhile, the Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip were renewed early on Friday morning, and the factions responded with missile barrages at southern Israel. The army reinforced artillery and infantry forces on the borders of Gaza and Lebanon.

The army told the residents of the settlements around the Gaza Strip to stay near the shelters until further notice.
