The Meeting of the Arab League Council Starts at the level of Foreign Ministers in Algeria

Baghdad The meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers started today, Saturday, at the International Conference Center “Abdul Latif Rahal” in the Algerian capital.

The meeting is the last stop for the preliminary meetings before the start of the thirty-first session of the Arab Summit, scheduled for the first and second of next month in Algeria.

In the past few days, Algeria witnessed the meetings of the permanent delegates of the Arab League, in addition to the meetings of the Economic and Social Council at the level of senior officials and at the ministerial level.

The official spokesman for the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, made it clear that the Arab summit appears to be different from other summits that preceded it, through two tracks, the first of which came after a hiatus of more than three years, which represents a disruption to one of the most important mechanisms of joint Arab action.”
