The Minister Of Interior Receives The Head Of The IJS And Announces The Ministry’s Readiness To Cooperate With The IJS And The Press Family

The Minister of Interior, Abdu al-Amir al-Shammari, received today the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, the head of the Federation of Arab Journalists, Muayyad al-Lami.

The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate stated in a statement that: “During the meeting, they discussed measures to facilitate the entry of Arab and foreign journalists to attend the celebrations of the Iraqi National Press Day, as well as to attend the meetings of the General Secretariat and the permanent office of the Federation of Arab Journalists, which will be held in Baghdad in mid-June.”

It also discussed facilitating journalists’ access to passports easily and smoothly, as well as providing the necessary protection and environment for journalistic work.

The Minister of Interior, Abdu al-Amir al-Shammari, announced the ministry’s readiness to cooperate with the Journalists Syndicate in implementing its programs and media activities that serve Iraq.

For his part, the President of the Journalists Syndicate, Muayyad Al-Lami, expressed his admiration for the great efforts made by the Ministry of Interior to establish security and stability, praising the cooperation announced by the Minister of Interior and his support for the Journalists Syndicate and the press family.
