The Minister Of Oil Discusses With The Lebanese Minister Of Energy And Water Joint Cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani, discussed with the Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water, Walid Fayyad, and his accompanying delegation, joint cooperation.

The Ministry of Oil said in a statement, “During the meeting, they discussed prospects for bilateral relations and cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the oil and energy sector, and ways to enhance them in a way that serves common interests.”

Abdel-Ghani affirmed, “The government and the ministry are keen to support the brotherly Lebanese people, study their needs for fuel and crude oil, and work to meet them according to the available capabilities.”

For his part, Minister of Energy and Water Walid Fayyad praised the support of the government and people of Iraq and the Ministry of Oil for the Lebanese people and standing with them in their economic crisis, especially in meeting a large part of their fuel needs to generate electric power, and this is a matter of appreciation and pride.

Fayyad added, “The meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Minister of Oil, and officials in the ministry was fruitful, and included discussing the possibility of increasing the quantities allocated to Lebanon from black oil and crude oil.”
