Baghdad The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate announced that the Minister of Health, Dr. Salih al-Hasnawi, approved the Syndicate’s request to include journalists and their families, who are members of the Syndicate, with free treatment in the private wards of government hospitals and exempt them from surgical fees.
The Syndicate appreciated this decision, stressing that: “It comes as a tribute from the Ministry of Health for the active role of the Journalists Syndicate and the Iraqi journalistic family, which is working hard to perform its professional and national duty for the sake of free and honest word.”
The Journalists Syndicate stressed the need for full cooperation with the Ministry of Health and its institutions in order to preserve this humanitarian achievement, calling for a speedy recovery for colleagues who need treatment.
