Youth cornerstone of progress and creativity, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad

The Kingdom of Bahrain will join the other nations in International Youth Day 2023, which is observed worldwide on August 12 under the theme “Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World”.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President hailed youth strides in the Kingdom.

“Bahrain youth have become a global model through their devotion in various fields”, he said, hailing the royal care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He also hailed the role played by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, in supporting youth and engaging them as a key pillar of national development, in the prosperous era of HM the King.

He stressed the importance of the annual celebration which recognizes the achievements of trailblazers who are leading change, innovation and creativity to serve their societies and the world.

In a statement on this occasion, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad highlighted Bahrain’s commitment and unwavering care accorded to the sector of youth, which represents the cornerstone of the country’s success and edge in global competitiveness.
