OIC Welcomes Saudi Arabia’s Call on Riyadh Accord Two Parties to Urgently Respond to their agreed Terms

Jeddah, The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Organization (OIC) Dr. Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen has welcomed the call made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the two parties of the Riyadh Accord (Representatives of the Yemeni Government and the Southern Transitional Council) to urgently respond to the terms they have agreed upon and renounce disagreements.

He also urged them to work in accordance with the agreed upon mechanism and to prioritize the public interest in order to complete carrying out the remaining provisions of the accord, close the ranks, save blood and mend fences among all segments of the Yemeni people entirely.

Dr. Al-Othaimeen called on the two parties of the accord, too, to stop all forms of political, economic, social and media escalation, to push forward the efforts being exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to eventually implement the Riyadh Accord.

Grosbic condemns Turkish regime’s practices in occupied areas in Syria

Prague, Stanislav Grosbic, Vice President of the Czech Moravian Communist Party and Chairman of the Czech Parliamentary Group for Friendship with Syria, condemned the Turkish regime’s practices and the attempts of Turkification carried out in the areas it occupies in Syria, describing them as completely unacceptable.

Grosbic pointed out in a statement to SANA correspondent in Prague on Friday, that Erdogan’s regime is trying to revive the Ottoman Empire by supporting terrorism, occupying the lands of sovereign countries and stealing the underground resources and antiquities, noting that the new Ottoman policy is a blatant evidence to the implemented attempts to bring back the history and thievery policy of Erdogan.

He added that practices of the Turkish regime in northern Syria are completely rejected.

Lavrov: Western measures reason behind deterioration of humanitarian situation in Syria

Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, said that unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by the West on Syria and the looting of its resources by the US are the reason behind the deterioration of humanitarian situation in the country.

Lavrov reiterated during a press conference with his Bahraini counterpart Abdullatif Al-Zayani in Moscow on Friday that the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by the West on Syria have caused the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in it.

He added that the US illegally deploys its forces in Syria under the pretext of fighting terrorism, loots its oil and resources and obstructs its reconstruction.

Lavrov stressed that international efforts should focus on fighting terrorism in Syria, not occupying its lands or stealing its natural resources.

He added that his country will continue to support Syria in combating terrorism until its final elimination, pointing out to the need for finding a political solution to the crisis in it according to UN resolution no. 2254.

Transport Ministry to run flight to evacuate students and Syrian citizens stranded in India

Damascus, The Transport Ministry announced that it will run a Syrian Airlines flight to evacuate students and Syrian citizens stranded in India on Sunday, 11th of July 2021 in accordance with the precautionary measures and conditions specified by Health Ministry.

Director of commercial affairs at the Syrian Airlines, Louay al-Hassan, told SANA that the plane will take off from New Delhi Airport at 5.20 am local time and arrive at Damascus International Airport at 7.50 am local time.

Belarusian Ambassador in Damascus: Syrians voted for their future and lives

Damascus, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Damascus, Yuri Sluka, said that the Syrians voted during the recent presidential election for their future, lives, and their desire to live in peace and prosperity, renewing his country’s support for Syria, its sovereignty and its territorial integrity.

In an interview with SANA on the occasion of his country’s national day, which coincides with the day of the liberation from Nazism on July 3rd, Sluka congratulated the Syrians on the success of the election and electing whom represents them, pointing out that he accompanied the electoral process along with a delegation of Belarusian parliamentarians.

Sluka affirmed his country’s continued support for Syria at international forums and its firm stance in rejection of the blockade, pressures and sanctions that affect peoples, pointing out that only Syrians have the right to determine their future and their way of living, and that no one has the right to occupy lands in Syria.

99% Inpatients Infected with Coronavirus at Intensive Care Units Have Not Received any Vaccine

Riyadh, As high as 99 percent of inpatients at intensive care units, who were infected by the Coronavirus did not receive any vaccine from December 28, 2020 to June 7, 2021, the Ministry of Health said here today.

As the ministry announced the latest statistics related to the pandemic in the last 24-hour across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it reported as many as 1,338 new confirmed cases of infection against 1,208 recoveries, while the active cases of infection rose to 12,288 cases, including 1,374 in critical conditions.

On the other hand, the toll of overall fatalities rose to 7,848 as 16 new deaths were reported.
