Al-Sudani: The security problem must be resolved and the Turkish aggression on Iraqi lands and borders stopped

Baghdad Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani stressed the need to solve the security problem and stop the Turkish aggression on Iraqi lands and borders.

He said in the weekly press conference: “We have three files with Turkey, which are security, economy and water,” noting: “The water file is pressing and calls for a clear position.”

Saudi Royal Court Advisor Arrives in Tanzania

Arusha, Advisor at the Royal Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan, arrived in the city of Arusha in the United Republic of Tanzania today, on an official visit.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, Qattan and the accompanying delegation were received by Arusha Regional Commissioner, John Mongella; Saudi Ambassador to the United Republic of Tanzania Abdullah bin Ali Al-Sharyan, and a number of embassy staff.

Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Meets British Foreign Secretary

Sharm el-Sheikh, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet’s Member and Climate Envoy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, has met with Britain’s Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, on the sidelines of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Sharm El-Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt.

During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields, in addition to discussing the topics on the agenda of the conference.

EAC Deputy Secretary-General Receives Saudi Royal Court Advisor

Arusha, The Deputy Secretary-General of the East African Community (EAC) Eng. Steven Mlote received at the Organization’s headquarters in Arusha today the Advisor at the Royal Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan, currently on an official visit to the United Republic of Tanzania.

During the meeting, they discussed ways of cooperation between the Kingdom and EAC’s member states, in addition to discussing opportunities to enhance economic and investment cooperation and joint coordination to serve common interests of the Kingdom and African countries in general.

During the meeting, they discussed the topics on the agenda of the conference.

CST Awards Winners of the Competition on Non-Terrestrial Networks in Collaboration with IEEE

Riyadh, In collaboration with the International institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Communication, Space, and Technology Commission awarded the winners of the Competition on Non-Terrestrial Networks for B5G and 6G, which aims to support research and innovation in the future telecom networks field.

The competition consisted of 28 submitted papers by more than 100 researchers and academics from 34 universities, representing 17 countries. The “Multi-Mode High Altitude Platform Station (HAPS) for Future Wireless Networks” ranked first, submitted by 4 researchers from Saudi Arabia and Canada, the “Toward Equitable 6G Access Service via Cloud-Enabled High-Altitude Platform Systems” ranked second, submitted by 4 researchers from Saudi Arabia, while the third place was for the “Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles Communications in Integrated Terrestrial and Non-Terrestrial Networks”, submitted by 3 researchers from Spain and France.

The papers contained a study and analysis of i) innovative ways to provide broadband telecom services in challenging areas by integrating terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks, ii) development mechanism for high altitude platforms technology (HAPS) to include multiple operational solutions and communication services in order to reduce costs and enhance service quality, iii) an analytical framework design to provide telecom services via HAPS by cloud computing to meet the needs of future telecom services and adopt it in the near future.

Through this competition, the Commission aims to find innovative solutions that enable non-terrestrial networks, which are expected to be the foundation of the 6G future communication services, contribute in economy growth and diversity, and improve the services to bridge the digital divide and provide ICT services to all.
