Baghdad The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the need for joint cooperation between all national forces and blocs to achieve political and security stability in Iraq.

The Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement: “President Rashid received today at al-Salam Palace in Baghdad, the former Minister of Interior, Muhammad Salem Al-Ghabban, who offered his congratulations and blessings to the President on the occasion of his election.”

Rashid, in turn, expressed his thanks and appreciation for the kind congratulations.

The President of the Republic said, according to the statement: “The next stage requires more coordination and joint cooperation between all national forces and blocs to achieve political and security stability in Iraq, and to face challenges in a way that enhances peace and security for the country.”

The President of the Supreme Judicial Council arrives in Beirut

Baghdad The head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, arrived this evening, Wednesday, in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

A statement by the council stated: Zaidan will participate in the workshop organized by the Arab Center for Legal and Judicial Research at the Arab League under the title (the judicial authority is the most prominent challenges and ways to address).

PM: We Should Strengthen the Civilian Character Of The State, Which Contradicts The Trend Of Militarization Of Cities / More

Baghdad The Prime Minister, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Al-Sudani, chaired today, Wednesday, a meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security.

The meeting discussed the latest developments and the security situation, as well as the topics on the agenda.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stressed the importance of the role played by the Council as the supreme authority in the country responsible for the security decision, and made it clear that the supreme goal in law enforcement still faces political, social and economic challenges, which must be accompanied by tangible success at the service level.

Al-Sudani revealed: “There are parties, whether at home or abroad, who are bothered by the fact that Iraq is witnessing an achievement at the national level, so as we progress in the steps of providing services, we will face more security challenges .”

The Prime Minister directed the security authorities to show the required toughness to face these challenges, stressing that no party is above the law.

He added, “It is imperative that we strengthen the civilian character of the state, which is incompatible with the militarization of cities.”

The council session issued several decisions, according to the agenda, including:

– Preventing all official bodies from visiting or receiving official foreign delegations, except with the knowledge and approval of the government, and in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Otherwise, these cases will be dealt with in accordance with the laws in force.

– Forming an investigative committee against the security and intelligence agencies that did not implement the National Security Council’s decision to abolish the security checks of citizens in the liberated areas, and hold the negligent to account.

Sri Lankan Minister of Labor Meets with Saudi Business Owners

Riyadh, Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment of the Republic of Sri Lanka, Manusha Nanayakkara met here today with the Saudi business owners and the National Committee for the Human Resources Companies.

During the meeting, he said that Sri Lanka has taken several measures to attract export revenues and foreign transfers.

He added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the preferred destination for Sri Lankan workers, as about 180,000 workers work in the Kingdom, and their transfers represent 20% of the foreign transfers to Sri Lanka.

“French government should have condemned the recent escalation of terrorist groups in northwestern Syria, and we wonder its ignorance of the Turkish regimes behavior who is the main supporter of these groups” The source added.

The source stated that “Syria reiterates its constant pursuit of remnants terrorist groups till eliminating them completely and the stances of hostile states as France won’t prevent it from achieving this goal and consolidate its security and stability.”

A Wanted Suspect Arrested and Unlicensed Weapons Seized in Amarah, Maysan

Amara The security forces in Maysan arrested a wanted suspect and seized unlicensed weapons, during raids and searches they carried out in the city of Al-Amarah, the provincial capital.

Maysan Operations Command said in a statement that the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA/ received a copy of it: “The military units of the command carried out a raid and search operation in Karama area and the Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him ) neighborhood in the center of the city of Al-Amarah, following a clan quarrel that occurred in one of these two areas.”

It added, “The operation resulted in the seizure of 9 different weapons and the arrest of one of those wanted by the judiciary.”

Interior Minister attends GCC meeting

Riyadh, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa led Bahrain’s delegation to the 39th GCC Interior Ministers’ meeting, which was held today in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Gen.Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa expressed thanks and gratitude to the Saudi Minister of Interior, incumbent chair of the current session, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz for the good organization of the meeting, stressing the importance of exchanging expertise and practices between the GCC member states.

He pointed out that the current regional and international conditions require security and qualitative tactics to enhance security cooperation between the GCC countries.

He stressed the need to maintain the common approach to enhance security, stability and public safety and step up security readiness to confront mounting threats.

The minister was accompanied by Bahrain’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Interior Ministry Undersecretary and other senior officers.

KSrelief Grants “Benaa” the First License for Saudi Orphan Society to Work in Humanitarian Field Outside Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, Prince Turki bin Mohammad bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Charity Society for Orphan Care in the Eastern Region (Benaa), received the first license for a Saudi orphan society to be allowed to work in humanitarian and relief activities outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).

The Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the KSrelief, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, handed Prince Turki a certificate of practicing relief activity for Benaa outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

On this occasion, Prince Turki said: “At the outset, I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH, the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister for their great and continuous support for humanitarian work, which made the Kingdom one of the first countries in the world in the field of humanitarian work from through the KSrelief”.

Prince Turki pointed out that granting Benaa the license confirms its success and excellence in its journey to serve orphans, expressing his admiration for the experiences it gained.

During the conference, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice for Execution Services Salman Al-Otaibi provided a presentation entitled “The Future of Electronic Justice Systems- The Kingdom’s Experience in the Execution Judiciary”.
