Saudi-Chinese Parliamentary Friendship Committee of Shura Council Discusses Parliamentary Cooperation with Chinese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, The Saudi-Chinese Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Shura Council, headed by member of the council and chairman of the committee Dr. Mohammad Al-Jarba, has held here today a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Chen Weiqing.

During the meeting, a number of issues of mutual interest between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China were discussed. The two sides also discussed bilateral cooperation relations, with a focus on strengthening bilateral action and collaboration in parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the Chinese parliament.

During the meeting, the Chinese ambassador praised the outcomes of the Saudi-Chinese summit and the GCC-Chinese and Arab-Chinese summits held in Riyadh, stressing that relations between the two countries receive the attention of both countries’ leaderships.

Joint parliamentary friendship committees of the Shura Council aim to strengthen friendship ties and communication between the Shura Council and legislative councils and parliaments in other countries to enhance the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s relations at the international level.

A person accused of theft escaped from the Diwaniyah court

During his meeting with a delegation of Sheikhs of the Shammar clans in Nineveh Governorate, he praised the heroic stances of the indigenous Iraqi clans, stressing that the Iraqi society has seized the initiative in confronting terrorist groups, and is cooperating resolutely with the security forces in order to achieve security and stability and protect civil peace.

The delegation spoke about the reality of Nineveh Governorate, and the security requirements necessary to ensure stability in it with all its components, as well as the demand for improving the service and economic situation in all districts of the governorate and upgrading its reality.

The delegation appreciated the noble positions of the Prime Minister, for the speedy response and for taking the necessary security measures, towards the martyrdom of Sheikh Suhail Al-Najm, one of the sheikhs of the Shammar tribe, in a cowardly terrorist accident.

The Anti- terrorism Service in Kurdistan confirms the crash of an international coalition drone in Erbil

Baghdad The Kurdistan Anti-Terrorism Service confirmed the crash of the drone of the international coalition in Erbil.

He said in a statement that at seven o’clock in the evening today, a reconnaissance drone belonging to the international coalition fell due to a technical problem near the cemetery of the Baharka neighborhood in Erbil, and no damage was caused.

The Service confirmed that the incident was not serious.

Turkish Defense Minister: We will not take any step that would put the Syrian brothers in a dilemma

Istanbul Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said: Ankara will not take any step that would put the “Syrian brothers” in trouble, whether they live inside their country or in Turkey.

Akar confirmed in a press statement today, Thursday, that Turkey will not take any action against the Syrian people.

He touched on the tripartite meeting that took place yesterday in Moscow, in the presence of Defense Ministers and heads of intelligence agencies of Turkey, Russia and Syria, and said: “We exchanged information and opinions on the refugee problem and the fight against all terrorist organizations in Syria.”

He added, “We have done our part to ensure and maintain peace, calm and stability in our region. We will continue to do so from now on.”

Yesterday, the Russian capital, Moscow, hosted a meeting between the Defense Ministers of Turkey, Russia and Syria, and the heads of intelligence services in the three countries.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense stated in a statement that the tripartite meeting discussed the Syrian crisis, the refugee problem, and the joint fight against terrorist organizations in Syria.

The meeting agreed during the meeting, “which was held in a constructive atmosphere,” to continue the tripartite meetings “in order to ensure and maintain stability in Syria and the region.”

Al-Sudani and the Omani Ambassador discuss bilateral relations between the two countries

The meeting witnessed discussions of bilateral relations between the two countries, and aspects of mutual cooperation at various levels and fields.

During the meeting, Al-Sudani affirmed Iraq’s keenness to maintain balanced relations with brotherly Arab countries and countries in the region, pointing to the depth of relations with the Sultanate of Oman and the aspiration to develop them, in a way that enhances the interests of their peoples in development and prosperity.

For his part, the Omani Ambassador conveyed his government’s greetings to Al-Sudani, and its desire to consolidate cooperation in the economic, commercial and tourism fields, in a way that contributes to strengthening relations between the two brotherly countries and achieving common interests.

Al-Rasheed Bank: The dollar will continue to be sold at 1465

Baghdad Al-Rasheed Bank announced today, Thursday, that its identified branches (Main branch/ Raghba Khatoun / Al-Yarmouk) will continue to sell dollars to those wishing to buy.

The bank’s media office said in a statement: “The sale price is (1465) dinars per dollar as a maximum, through a Master Card for a customer wishing to travel outside the country.”

US Army: Chinese fighter jet intercepts US fighter “unsafely”

Baghdad The US Pacific Command announced that a Chinese fighter intercepted an American fighter with an “unsafe” maneuver in international airspace over the South China Sea.

A statement from the US Pacific Command said, “A Chinese People’s Liberation Army J-11 fighter pilot conducted an unsafe maneuver and intercepted a US Air Force aircraft, which was lawfully conducting routine operations over the South China Sea in the International Air area.

The statement indicated that “the fighter performed an unsafe maneuver, by flying in front of the American fighter at a distance of only 20 feet, which forced the fighter to avoid collision.”

The Association of Iraqi Private Banks affirms its support for the CBI’s measures to control the money market

Baghdad The Association of Iraqi Private Banks confirmed its support for the Central Bank’s measures to control the money market.

The Association’s advisor, Samir Al-Nusairi, said in a statement, “Our banks, which were identified by the Central Bank, considered them additional outlets for providing US dollars to traveling citizens, which they need for the purposes of travel and treatment, at the price of 1470 dinars, with a flexible and smooth mechanism throughout the days of the week, in addition to Fridays, Saturdays and official holidays.”

He added, “The Central Bank worked to increase the weekly share of these banks to 1,800,000 dollars, and under on-site and field follow-up by the bank.”

He pointed out that “the Central Bank took measures during the past two weeks to increase the supply and provision of the dollar to merchants, businessmen and importers through banking outlets directly without the mediation of intermediaries, which will restore the money market to its balance regardless of any political news, fabrications, and non-specialized analyzes.”

He explained that “the central bank’s assurances of the availability of foreign cash reserves exceeding $96 billion and its ability to supply the dollar in sufficient quantities to meet the requirements of demand, will inevitably enable it to control the money market quickly.”

Al-Nusairi called on the competent government agencies to “assign the Central Bank’s procedures in accordance with its tasks and duties contained in its law in force and previous successful experiences, to control the exchange rate,” calling on “the national media, with all its visual, audio and print means, to support the procedures and decisions issued by the Central Bank.”

Human Rights Commission Signs MoU with Its Bahraini Counterpart

Manama, The Human Rights Commission (HRC) and the National Institution for Human Rights in Bahrain signed here today, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the field of human rights.

The MoU is co-signed by HRC President Dr. Hala Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri and President of the National Institution for Human Rights in Bahrain Eng. Ahmed Ali Al-Darazi.

During her meeting with the President of the National Institution for Human Rights in Bahrain, Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri affirmed the depth of the fraternal relations that bind the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, indicating that this MoU comes within the framework of the HRC’s approach aimed at strengthening its cooperation with various partners, local, regional and international agencies and organizations in the field of human rights.

The MoU will build the capacity of both sides’ staff in various fields of human rights, share relevant research experiences, spread a culture of human rights in an awareness-raising manner, and organize seminars, lectures and joint training programs.

KSrelief Conducts 472 Surgeries within “Noor Saudi Arabia” Voluntary Program to Combat Blindness in Senegal

Dakar, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has implemented the “Noor Saudi Arabia” voluntary program to combat blindness during the period from 17 to 23 December, 2022, in cooperation with Al-Basar International Foundation.

The voluntary medical team of the KSrelief distributed 1,150 medical glasses, and performed 472 surgeries.

This campaign comes as part of the projects related to combating blindness implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, for low-income families in a number of brotherly and friendly countries.
