Human Rights Commission Signs MoU with Its Bahraini Counterpart

Manama, The Human Rights Commission (HRC) and the National Institution for Human Rights in Bahrain signed here today, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the field of human rights.

The MoU is co-signed by HRC President Dr. Hala Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri and President of the National Institution for Human Rights in Bahrain Eng. Ahmed Ali Al-Darazi.

During her meeting with the President of the National Institution for Human Rights in Bahrain, Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri affirmed the depth of the fraternal relations that bind the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, indicating that this MoU comes within the framework of the HRC’s approach aimed at strengthening its cooperation with various partners, local, regional and international agencies and organizations in the field of human rights.

The MoU will build the capacity of both sides’ staff in various fields of human rights, share relevant research experiences, spread a culture of human rights in an awareness-raising manner, and organize seminars, lectures and joint training programs.
