Baquba The security forces arrested two of the most wanted persons on the black list in Diyala, after they fled to the Kurdistan region.

A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the joint security coordination between Diyala and the Kurdistan region to pursue those wanted by the judiciary resulted in the arrest of two of the most wanted persons on the black list in Baquba after they escaped many months ago due to multiple crimes.

He added that the arrest process took place near the Sulaymaniyah governorate, and they will be transferred in the coming days to be presented to the competent courts in the governorate.

SOCPA to Launch Tomorrow International Conference on Accounting Education

Riyadh, The first International Conference on Accounting Education, organized by the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA), is scheduled to kick off tomorrow in Riyadh under the patronage of Minister of Commerce and SOCPA Chairman Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi.

The three-day conference will discuss the role of education in the development of the accounting profession under the slogan “Early preparation of the labor market”. It also sheds light on the profession and the promising opportunities it achieves, as well as reviewing and exchanging local and international best practices in the accounting profession, the updates of the profession, as well as the transfer and utilization of international expertise in the profession, and the role of accounting education in shaping the outputs of accounting competencies and contributing to the promotion of economic growth.

The event will attract several local and international senior officials, academics, and experts who are interested in the accounting profession and specialists in accounting education, where the conference will also see the participation of relevant agencies, international organizations, government and private entities, local and international accounting education companies and institutions, and members of commissions in the sector.

The conference will also include holding several interactive sessions that will discuss the impact of accounting education on economic growth and the future and challenges of the accounting profession, as well as developments in professional practices and innovative solutions in the world, the most prominent techniques of the accounting profession and many important topics and working papers.

UNESCO Praises Saudi Arabia’s Achievements in E-Education Governance Globally

Riyadh, The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has praised the achievements of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in e-education governance, through UNESCO’s “Guide to measuring information and communication technologies (ICT) in education”, which noted that National E-Learning Center is an example to be followed at the international level through its support and development of governance procedures in the electronic education and training sector.

In its publication, the UNESCO cited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s model of quality control and confidence in e-learning through e-learning standards launched by the National E-Learning Centre for educational institutions in public and higher education institutions. The publication also reviewed mechanisms for e-learning governance, referring to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts as a qualitative model in collaboration with several leading countries in this regard.

He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: The fluctuations in the price of the dollar do not affect the local currency and its collapse because it is backed by huge reserves in the central bank.

Al-Shammaa added: The national currency has proven, during the last period, its ability to remain stable and confront the rise in the price of the dollar, because the huge revenues and large reserves are the best support for its stability.
