Baghdad, The Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Bengin Rikani, discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Ali Reza Günay, the implementation of his country’s companies in road and water projects.

During the meeting, according to a statement by the Ministry, they discussed the implementation of a number of important strategic projects by the Ministry in various sectors, especially road and water projects, by the discreet Turkish companies.

It was also discussed to hold a meeting soon between the two sides to define these projects and strengthen the frameworks of joint cooperation

Al-Hakim confirms to a Palestinian delegation: Iraq will remain at the back of Palestine in all situations

Baghdad, The Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, confirmed today, Monday: that Iraq will remain at the back of Palestine in all situations and turns.

Al-Hakim said during his meeting this evening with the representative of the Palestinian President, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Fatah Movement, and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Lieutenant General Jibril Rajoub, in the presence of the Palestinian Ambassador Ahmed Aqel: Iraq cannot be in any equation other than that of Palestine and the interests of its people.

He renewed: the supportive and steadfast position of Iraq and its people towards the Palestinian cause, and that it will remain at the back of Palestine in all situations and turns.

Al-Hakim called for: overcoming differences and more Palestinian unity, and the need for everyone to come together on an equal word.

He continued: There is an opportunity to clarify the grievances of the Palestinian people and their suffering from the Israeli occupation and its expansionist policies.

Al-Sudani: The Iraqi people have always supported the Palestinian brothers through long historical stages

Baghdad, The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’ Al-Sudani, affirmed that the Iraqi people are always the backing supporter of the Palestinian brothers through long historical stages.

A statement by his media office stated that Al-Sudani received today, Monday, the envoy of the Palestinian President, Head of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Jibril Rajoub, and his accompanying delegation.

According to the statement, Rajoub conveyed to Al-Sudani a message from Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen, which included thanks to Iraq and its stances in support of the Palestinian cause, and an emphasis on the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Al-Sudani affirmed, during the meeting, Iraq’s firm and principled positions regarding the just cause of the Palestinian people and the attainment of their rights, and that the Iraqi people are always the supportive supporter of the Palestinian brothers through long historical stages.

Integrity Commission apprehends an official in the Electricity Directorate in Kirkuk in the act of bribery

Baghdad, The Federal Integrity Commission caught an official in Kirkuk Electricity Directorate in the act of committing a bribery crime in return for performing one of his job duties.

It stated in a statement: The investigation department of the Commission seized, according to a judicial warrant, the director of electricity in (Yaji) district for blackmailing citizens and forcing them to pay sums of money in return for delivering the electric current to their farms, and cutting it off from them in the event of non-payment.

It added: The work team moved to (Yaji) district, and set up a tight ambush for the accused, and after stationing, monitoring and making sure that he had received the bribe, he was caught red-handed.

It explained: The preliminary investigations conducted by the team indicated that the accused confessed to receiving the bribe, and that he blackmailed citizens and took sums of money from them. It was in return for completing one of the tasks entrusted to him.

It noted the organization of a fundamental report, and its presentation, along with the accused, and the seized amount, to the investigative judge specialized in hearing cases of integrity in Kirkuk; who decided to detain him pending investigation; in accordance with the provisions of Article (307) of the Iraqi Penal Code.

A policeman was killed in an ISIS attack, northeast of Baquba

Baquba, A security member was killed in an attack on a security point, northeast of Baquba, Diyala Governorate Center.

A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that ISIS gangs attacked a security point stationed on the outskirts of Muqdadiya district, northeast of Baquba, which resulted in the death of a policeman.

The Popular Mobilization ends the “ISIS” attack east of Salah al-Din by defeating the terrorists

Baghdad, A force from the 3rd Regiment of the 52nd Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces managed, on Monday, to end the failed terrorist attack launched by the remnants of ISIS, east of Salah al-Din Governorate.

According to a statement by the Popular Mobilization: A group of ISIS terrorist remnants launched an attack in Al-Aith area, east of Salah Al-Din Governorate, before a force from the regiment confronted them, clashed with them and forced them to flee.

The response operation resulted in the death of one of the regiment’s fighters and the wounding of two others.
