Baghdad, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah, called for the establishment of a large cultural and artistic festival that reflects the civilization of Iraq.

During his meeting with the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, Abdullah affirmed his full support for the ministry’s efforts and the importance of reviving and preserving heritage, especially that Iraq has an ancient civilization and is distinguished by its cultural diversity.

He called for holding a large cultural and artistic festival to deliver important messages to neighboring countries and the world that there is a state of stability, prosperity and development in the country at all levels.

For his part, Al-Badrani reviewed the most important work and activities of his Ministry, future plans, and expanding horizons of cooperation and joint coordination between the Ministry, the legislative institution, and through parliamentary committees.

Oman qualifies for the 25th Gulf Cup final by defeating Bahrain 1-0

Basra, The Omani national team qualified for the 25th Gulf Cup final, with a deserved victory over its Bahraini counterpart, with a goal without a response, in the match that took place this evening at the Olympic Port Stadium within the Arab Gulf 25 Championship.

Jamil Al-Ahmadi managed to score the winning goal in the 85th minute of the match.

With this victory, Oman will meet our national team in the championship final next Thursday.

The Minister of Health discusses with the World Bank delegation supporting the Ministry in the field of health insurance

Baghdad, The Minister of Health, Salih Al-Hasnawi, received today, Monday, the Regional Director of the World Bank in Iraq, Jean-Christophe and Richard Abdel Nour, Director of the Baghdad Office, and the accompanying delegation, on the occasion of their recent assumption of their positions, in the presence of specialists in the Ministry.

The World Bank delegation expressed its desire to cooperate with the Ministry of Health and provide technical support to the Ministry, especially in the field of health insurance.

For his part, the minister stressed to the visiting delegation the importance of cooperation with the World Bank because it is a strong partner in this field.

The two parties agreed to continue coordination and cooperation according to specific timetables and goals agreed upon by the specialized technical teams of the two parties.
