KSrelief distributes 540 winter bags in Pakistan

Islamabad– The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed yesterday 540 winter bags in the Dadu district of the Sindh province, Pakistan, benefiting 3,780 people affected by last summer’s floods.

This comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief aid that the Kingdom provides through KSrelief to peoples in need in various countries.

Fourth and Fifth Saudi Relief Planes Arrive Carrying Rescue Teams to Assist Earthquake Victims in Syria, Turkiye

Riyadh– The fourth and fifth relief airplanes of the Saudi airlift arrived at Gaziantep Airport in Turkiye today, carrying Saudi search-and-rescue teams and equipment including tools, pumps, and medical supplies, in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Saudi search-and-rescue teams from the General Directorate of Civil Defense, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, and volunteer groups will embark on their humanitarian mission using practical and scientific plans to best contribute to rescue operations.

This comes within the framework of the Saudi airlift, operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) to help the victims of the earthquake in Syria and Turkiye as an embodiment of the humanitarian role of the Kingdom.

The Unified Arab Council Warns of the Dangers of Division and Dispersion in Kirkuk

Kirkuk / NINA/ – The Unified Arab Council warned of division and dispersion projects for the Arab component in Kirkuk.

It said in a statement, with the escalation of the political movement of all components in Kirkuk, to prepare the political arena in preparation for the upcoming local elections, we would like to inform our Arab masses in Kirkuk that the signs of division and dispersion have become clear and there are many electoral projects that will all contribute to a new setback for the Arabs in the upcoming local elections.

It added that “we, in the United Arab Council, announce to all our masses that our project and work is to serve our people and defend their rights, and we also declare that we are not part of any individual electoral political project or project that excludes any party… We hope that everyone will resort to reason, give priority to the public interest, and provide the principle of altruism and remedying matters before they reach the point of no return between all parties, and we declare that we stand at the same distance from everyone and we will be a supportive party to start serious dialogues between all parties and political figures who are preparing to build a political project that brings together Arabs to achieve their legitimate goals without exception for anyone.

Social Development Minister commends role of charity societies

Manama: Social Development Minister Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor received heads and board members of a number of social society institutions and discussed cooperation.

During the meeting, he stressed the ministry’s support to the efforts made by charity societies, praising their key role in serving citizens. He also pledged to facilitate the work of charity societies in line with laws and regulations.

Mosques in Bahrain offer absentee prayers for Syria, Turkey quake victims

Manama: In implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, worshippers in all mosques across the Kingdom of Bahrain performed today, after Friday Prayer, the funeral prayers in absentia for the victims of the earthquake in Syria and Turkey.

HM the King directed yesterday to perform the absentee funeral prayers for the victims of the earthquake.

Imams of mosques supplicated Allah Almighty during the Friday sermons to bless the victims with mercy, wishing the injured a speedy recovery and constant security to Bahrain and the Muslim countries.

Bahraini-Thai relations discussed

Bangkok: His Royal Highness the Crown and Prime Minister’s Advisor Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa met in Bangkok today with Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Don Pramudwinai.

Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa conveyed to him the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and their best wishes of further growth and prosperity to the Kingdom of Thailand and its people.

Both sides reviewed bilateral relations of friendship and their steady development in all fields. They also reviewed issues of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Bahraini Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand Muna Abbas Radhi.

South Ossetia: We are ready to provide all assistance to the Syrian people

Moscow-SANA Alan Gagloev, the president of the Republic of South Ossetia., expressed his country’s solidarity with Syria and its stand with it after the catastrophe of the devastating earthquake, denouncing the inhumane policy of discrimination followed by Western countries in its dealings with the victims of this natural disaster.

During his meeting with the Syrian Ambassador in Moscow, Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari, Gagloevoffered his deepest condolences on his behalf and on behalf of the people of South Ossetia to President Bashar Al-Assad, the Syrian government and the Syrian people.

Gagloev laid a wreath at the entrance of the embassy to mourn the victims of the earthquake in Syria.

Galgoev expressed his pride in the strong relations binding the two countries and South Ossetia’s readiness to provide all possible assistance in these circumstances, denouncing the inhuman discrimination policy practiced by Western countries in the matter of providing assistance to the Syrian people in mitigating the effects of the earthquake.

Ambassador al-Jaafari, in his turn, expressed his thanks to President Galgoev for his visit and the feelings of solidarity he showed towards Syria, noting the strong relations of friendship, cooperation and alliance between Syria, the Russian Federation and the CIS countries.

Al-Jaafari pointed out that Western countries impose another earthquake on the Syrian people called illegal economic sanctions, which are unilateral coercive measures that reflect Western immoral discrimination towards the human suffering of Syrians as a result of the terrorist war waged by the same countries against Syria.

Aid flight offered by Russian Emergency Ministry arrives Syria

Lattakia, SANA- An aid flight provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation addressed to the people affected by the earthquake arrived Friday at Lattakia International Airport.

The Russian Ministry said that this aid is provided by the friendly Russian people, adding that his country will continue providing assistance and relief items to the Syrian affected by the earthquake.

Algeria to offer $15 million as assistance to Syria

Algeria-SANA, Algeria announced it will fiance Syria with 15 million, as part of the assistance it provides to the brotherly Syrian people, in solidarity with them, following the devastating earthquake.

“In implementation of the instructions of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the government decided to provide financial assistance of 15 million dollars to the Syrian Arab Republic within the framework of the assistance that Algeria is providing to the brotherly Syrian people in solidarity with it following the violent earthquake that rocked it” The Algerian government said in a statement Friday.

Shura Council Speaker to Participate in 5th Congress of Speakers of Arab Councils and Parliaments

Riyadh– The Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, will head the Saudi delegation to the 5th Congress of Speakers of Arab Councils and Parliaments, scheduled to be held tomorrow in Cairo.

The Shura Speaker said that the participation of the Shura Council in the conference embodies the Kingdom’s important role under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, and Prime Minister towards strengthening joint Arab action in various fields, in a way that contributes to boosting cooperation between the Arab parliaments.

The participants will discuss the draft document that will be issued during the conference, to be submitted to Arab Leaders for approval during the fifth session of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit to be held in Mauritania.

Saudi Embassy in Turkiye Confirms Body of Missing Saudi Female Found, Evacuates Saudi Citizens in Earthquake Area

Ankara– The Saudi embassy in Turkiye said in a statement today that the body of a missing Saudi female was found under the rubble of the building where she lived in the city of Antakya. The deceased’s body was identified in the presence of a representative from the embassy and some of her family members, it said.

The embassy expressed its appreciation for the response of the Turkish authorities and extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the deceased’s family and relatives, confirming that the rest of the Saudi citizens who were in the earthquake area have been evacuated to safe places, and all are in good condition.

Bahrain Ambassador visits Colorado-based US Space Foundation

Colorado: Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United States Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, met with representatives of the US Space Foundation Chief Operating Officer Shelley Brunswick, Vice President for Strategic Affairs and International Relations Tseev Eisenhart, Vice President of the Center for Innovation and Education Dr. John West and Director of the Center for Innovation and Education Lisa Bell, during his official visit to Colorado State.

During the visit, the ambassador praised the strong bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America in many areas, particularly in the field of space cooperation.

He noted the accession of the Kingdom of Bahrain to a cooperation agreement with (Artemis) regarding space cooperation globally, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa

The announcement was within the framework of the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the United States of America in March 2022, and the launch of the Bahraini-Emirati satellite “One Light” in December 2021.

During the meeting, ways to enhance cooperation in the space field were also discussed, through educational programmes, capacity development, industrial applications and regional activities offered by the center.
