A 6.2-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Eastern Papua New Guinea

A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck east of Papua New Guinea, in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. The European Mediterranean Seismological Center said a 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit eastern Papua New Guinea on Tuesday. The center added that the earthquake was 448 km north-northwest of the capital, Port Moresby, at a depth of approximately 200 km.
