A Delegation from the House of Representatives Arrives in Rwanda to participate in the Meetings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union

Baghdad A delegation from the House of Representatives, headed by Deputy Speaker Shakhwan Abdullah, arrived in Rwanda today, Monday, to participate in the 145th General Assembly meetings of the 210th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Governing Council, which is being held in the Rwandan capital, Kigali, for several days.

The parliamentary delegation included (Arshad al-Salihi, Wahd al-Jumaili, Mudhar al-Karawi, Siham al-Moussawi, Adnan al-Jabri, Najwa Kaki), and Deputy Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, Sadiq Jumaa Hamid.

In a press statement, the head of the delegation stated that: “files of a high level of importance will be presented and discussed, including: stimulating parliamentary action to advance the local and regional development of countries, supporting and strengthening democracy, and peaceful solutions to conflicts, as well as the delegation’s participation in the meetings of the executive and permanent committees and sub-committees concerned with transparency, Accountability and openness.
