Baghdad The Minister of Finance, Taif Sami Muhammad, chaired today the meeting of the opinion committee in the Ministry, to discuss a number of listed issues and take the necessary decisions and recommendations in their regard.
The meeting affirmed that meetings of the opinion committee in the Ministry will continue to be held periodically (monthly).
The meeting discussed the most important problems and obstacles related to investment projects and ways to solve them, by preparing a summary of the problems and solutions necessary for the obstacles to implementing housing projects in accordance with the controls and instructions issued in this regard.
The meeting followed the stages of implementing the project to modernize the public financial management system (IFMIS), which will contribute to increasing the speed of electronic communication of the Ministry of Finance with other Ministries and institutions, improving the process of monitoring financial accounts and following up financial appropriations within the budget.
It discussed the requirements for implementing the housing project for the Ministry’s employees and departments, and stressing the need to complete all stages that ensure the completion of the project as quickly as possible.
The meeting followed up the requirements for establishing the building of the General Administration of the Rafidain Bank and making the necessary recommendations thereon.
