A security force carries out a combing operation on the banks of the Diyala River

A joint security force carried out a security operation to track down ISIS cells near the administrative border with the capital, Baghdad.

A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that a joint security force carried out a combing operation for specific targets within the banks of the Diyala River near the administrative border with the capital, Baghdad.

He added that the operation, which was carried out from two axes, included combing 13 km of the banks of the Diyala River, securing agricultural roads, searching abandoned homes, and redeploying security to prevent any activity of sleeper cells.
