Al-Hakim Stresses, During His meeting With the Turkish Ambassador, the Need to Address Iraq’s Water Quotas

Baghdad The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the need to secure Iraq’s water quotas.

His media office said in a statement that Al-Hakim received the Turkish Ambassador, Ali Rıza GÜNEY, and during the meeting indicated the importance of Iraq for neighboring countries, and that its security and stability contribute to the security and stability of the region and the world.

Al-Hakim called for “strengthening cooperation between the two countries in a way that achieves the interests of the two peoples and preserves Iraq’s sovereignty, and for greater cooperation at all levels,” stressing “the need to address Iraq’s water quotas in accordance with technical methods and the principles of good neighborliness.”

According to the statement, during the meeting, Al-Hakim renewed his call for “the adoption of the national dialogue as a way to solve the outstanding problems, and his emphasis on formulating a reassuring national equation for all that guarantees their participation in political decision-making in the country.”
