Baghdad The leader of the National Coalition, Iyad Allawi, received today, Wednesday, the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid.

During the meeting, Allawi stressed, according to a statement by his office, the need for national unity, bringing points of view closer, and supporting the government in implementing its governmental program in a manner that meets the aspirations of the honorable Iraqi people.

The meeting also discussed the issue of Kurdish differences and the need to hold a Kurdish dialogue to resolve all differences and maintain the stability of Kurdistan, stressing that this matter will be reflected positively on the general situation in the country.
