Cairo, The speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Assoumi, praised the success of the humanitarian initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in releasing ten prisoners from Morocco, the United States of America, United Kingdom, Sweden, and Croatia, as part of prisoners swap between Russia and Ukraine.
In a statement issued today, Al-Assoumi stressed that the success of the Saudi initiative is not surprising due to the prudent policy being pursued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its leading and pivotal role, as well as its strong presence and interaction in resolving regional and international conflicts, in addition to supporting peace and stability efforts in all parts of the world, expressing the Arab Parliament’s appreciation for that step that contributed in releasing prisoners in cooperation with the governments of Russia and Ukraine, and working to facilitate the procedures for their return to their countries.
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament also expressed his great appreciation for the sincere Saudi diplomatic efforts led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince and its support for all international efforts aimed at establishing and strengthening international peace and security, which reflects the Kingdom’s leading position at the Arab and international levels.
