Syrian students in Slovakia: Syrian people’s wide participation in presidential election evident prove on national belonging

Bratislava, Syrian students studying in Slovakia affirmed that the Syrian people’s wide participation in the Presidential election held last Wednesday evident prove on national belonging, adherence to independent decision, sovereignty and rejection of any form of foreign interference.

In a statement, the National Union of Syrian Students, Slovakia Branch indicated that the wide turnout at polling stations is a popular message to the world that shows Syrians adherence to their country and its national and Pan-Arab issues and the coronation of the victories achieved by Syria in confronting terrorism and its supporters.

The students reiterated their stand by their homeland, army and leadership in the battle that Syria is waging against the forces of terrorism and extremism and their supporters, affirming that Syria has triumphed over the global conspiracy thanks to its people and army rallying around their leadership.

Minister of Education Affirms Saudi Arabia’s Commitment to Achieve Sustainable Development

Riyadh, The Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammad Al Al-Sheikh, conveyed yesterday the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince to participants in the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Conference on the Implementation of Education for Sustainable Development 2030, wishing for a better and more sustainable future for our societies.

Within the work of the conference, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh said in his speech, “we meet today to be proud of our achievements, as we reaffirm that we will continue joint efforts to achieve the seventeen sustainable development goals through our educational systems,” stressing that the sustainable future lies in our educational systems and the development of our societies.

The Minister of Education added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made great progress over the past few years, whereas a national committee has been established to track the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4).

Dr. Al Al-Sheikh pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 Vision aspires to a prominent international position for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all economic, social and cultural fields, indicating that this vision directs all efforts towards what achieves sustainable development, realizing a higher standard of living and a better quality of life for the Saudi people.

The minister said that the fifth anniversary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 coincides with many new programs and initiatives to support sustainable development in line with the UN 2030 Agenda. For example, HRH Crown Prince launched the “Saudi Green” and the “Middle East Green” initiatives to cultivate 50 billion trees to confront the climate crisis. In another initiative that affirms that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is aware of its responsibility towards our planet and chooses what will achieve more sustainable future, HRH Crown Prince announced THE LINE, a city of a million residents with a length of 170 km that preserves 95% of nature within NEOM, with zero cars, zero streets and zero carbon emissions.

In HRH Crown Prince’s recent interview on Saudi TV on 27 April, 2021, he spoke of education as a major driver to support the realization of Vision 2030, in line with the seventeen sustainable development goals, the minister added.

The Minister of Education concluded his speech by reiterating that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is determined to continue its noble work towards achieving a sustainable future for our planet and by expressing his confidence that through continuing to work together, we will provide at least a solid foundation for the sustainability of our societies and this planet for future generations.

Syrian students in Russia: Presidential elections’ entitlement is national right

Moscow, Syrian students and Members of the Syrian community in Russia renewed on Thursday their determination to participate in the upcoming presidential elections.

The students stressed in a meeting in the Syrian chancery in Moscow that the election day is a constitutional entitlement in which they will participate by using their right under the rules of the Constitution for the sake of Syria’s future, progress and prosperity after it has triumphed over international terrorism and its sponsors.

They pointed out that Presidential elections’ entitlement constitutes a national right, expressing their solidarity with their families in the homeland, Syria.

“Holding the constitutional elections and participating in it is a sincere expression of belonging to the homeland and foiling the enemy’s plots that target Syria, its people and its institutions,” Syrian Ambassador to Russia, Riad Haddad, said in a speech during the meeting.

Ambassador Haddad called for national solidarity at this stage and participation in the presidential election.
