American Agency: Israel greatly delays the delivery of aid to Gaza

A Doctor of Iraqi origin receives the Friendship Medal from Russian President Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the Iraqi doctor, Salman Al-Shukri, chief urologist in the Northwestern Federal District of Russia, the Medal of Friendship for Medical Sciences.

Doctor Al-Shukri, who is of Iraqi origin, said that he entered the field of medicine about 50 years ago, according to Russia Today.

He added: “In the city of Leningrad, I was the first to introduce the technique of video laparoscopic surgery to remove tumors of the bladder and prostate at that time. I also worked on removing the bladder and creating a new bladder from intestinal tissue.”

He confirmed that all of these operations were successful and had an excellent degree of performance.

He added: “I specialize in the field of removing kidney tumors and preserving the kidney organ if the tumor has not spread to the rest of the body, but only to the kidney.”

Regarding surgical operations, he said: ‘I performed ureter transplant operations in cases of ureteral obstruction, especially since I worked in this specialty for a
long time in Kuwait, and we treated there, in the modern way, many brothers from the Arab Republic of Egypt, especially those who suffered from schistosomiasis and ureteral obstruction.’

He continued: “In addition to urology, I had 47 of my students who obtained doctoral degrees, in addition to 11 doctors who obtained doctorates in medical sciences.”

He concluded in this regard: ‘I have a book of texts on urology for medical university students and graduates, and I have presented many scientific research and external communications in this field.’

Regarding his feeling after receiving the Russian ‘Friendship Medal’, Doctor Al-Shukri confirmed his wonderful feeling because it is an appreciation for the efforts and a source of pride for him.

TGA Detects Over 2,000 Cases of Unlicensed Passenger Transport During Inspection Tours at Kingdom’s Airports in Ramadan


Riyadh: The Transport General Authority (TGA) has conducted inspection tours on violators of passenger transport during Ramadan to curb the phenomenon of unlicensed transport at the Kingdom’s airports. The tours detected 2,194 violations and seized 1,217 vehicles, in addition to detecting 126 repeat violations.

TGA noted that the inspection campaign covered all major airports in the Kingdom. The percentage of violators at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah was 38%, at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was 30%, at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah was 15%, at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam was 12%, and at Taif International Airport was 5%.

The authority pointed out that its inspection campaigns aim to enhance passenger safety, organize the passenger transport sector, and encourage the use of licensed means of transportation approved by the authority to ensure a safe and reliable travel experience for all.

ng operations to monitor all airports in the Kingdom, imposing financial fines of up to SAR5,000, and impounding the vehicle, with the violator incurring the cost of the impoundment, in order to curb the phenomenon of unlicensed transport and ensure the safety and security of passengers.

Suffocation injuries during the storming of Beit Ummar


A number of citizens suffered from suffocation as a result of inhaling tear gas, during the occupation forces’ storming, at dawn today, of the areas of Al-Dhahr and Halara Al-Tahta in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.

Media activist in Beit Ummar, Muhammad Ayyad Awad, reported that the occupation soldiers raided dozens of citizens’ homes, searched them thoroughly, and detained the owners of these homes until the raid was completed.

Awad added, the occupation soldiers also climbed onto a number of rooftops and threw tear gas bombs between citizens’ homes, causing a number of citizens to suffer from suffocation
