1,269 New Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Reported in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health announced, in a statement here today, that 1,269 new confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 452,956, including 10,043 active cases.

Of these, there are 1,489 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.

It added that 16 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities, at 7,393.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,081 cases have recovered, raising recoveries’ toll to 435,520.

On the other hand, 93,209 new laboratory tests were conducted, in the last 24-hour, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Air Medical Evacuation Transports Coronavirus-Infected National from Jordan to Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, In implementation of directives of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, the Air Medical Evacuation Directorate of the Health Services, at the Ministry of Defense transported a Saudi citizen who contracted coronavirus infection, from Jordan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with a specialized medical team, affiliated to the Ministry of Health.

Air medical evacuation planes have managed to transport more than 75 cases with coronavirus, without infecting neither the medical nor the air crews.

1,245 New Confirmed COVID-19 Cases, 1,275 Recoveries Reported in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health announced, in a statement here today, that 1,245 new confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 450,436, including 9,661 active cases.

Of these, there are 1,438 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.

It added that 15 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities, at 7,362.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,275 cases have recovered, raising recoveries’ toll to 433,413.

On the other hand, 92,458 new laboratory tests were conducted, in the last 24-hour, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

KSrelief Holds Training Courses to Promote Medical Care Quality in Yemen

Aden, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), has held training courses at 18 medical facilities in Yemen to promote their medical care quality, benefiting 145 medical workers.

The courses included percepts of quality standards, human resources, policies and measures related to promoting medical care quality.

This move falls within the humanitarian endeavors being exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, to support the Yemeni health sector and to upgrade medical cadres’ abilities.

Ministry of Health Reports 1,106 New Confirmed Coronavirus Cases, Warns against Negligence in Implementing Precautionary Measures

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health warned here today against negligence in implementing precautionary measures related to the Coronavirus pandemic, reaffirming the importance of abiding by them

On the other hand, the ministry reported 1,106 new confirmed infections and 1,274 new recoveries, while the active cases rose to 10,013, including 1,394 in critical conditions, in the last 24-hour.

The ministry’s new statistics pointed that the overall cases in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stood at 448,284 against 430,937 recoveries.

Fatalities’ toll reached 7,334 as 14 new deaths were reported.

Ministry of Health: Second Dose of Coronavirus Vaccine at Avail for Elderly from 60 Years and over, 1,215 Confirmed Infections, 1,161 Recoveries

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health reaffirmed here today that the second dose of Coronavirus vaccine is available for the elderly category from 60 years old and over, at all inoculation centers, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In the same context, the ministry announced new statistics related to the Coronavirus latest developments, in the Kingdom, during the last 24-hour, which included detecting 1215 new confirmed infection cases and 1161 new recoveries, with the active cases reaching 10195, and 1355 cases in critical conditions.

The overall toll of infections in the Kingdom rose to 447,178 cases against as many as 429,663 recoveries, while the fatalities stood at 7320 as 11 new deaths were reported.

Health Ministry Reports 1,183 New Confirmed COVID-19 Cases, in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health announced, in a statement here today, that 1,183 new confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 445,963, including 10,152 active cases undergoing treatment.

Of these, there are 1,353 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.

It added that 14 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities at 7,309.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,040 cases have recovered, raising recoveries’ toll to 428,502.

Health Ministry Stresses Importance of Committing to Precautionary Measures during Summer Holiday, Traveling

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health (MoH) highlighted the importance of committing to precautionary measures and preventive procedures during the summer holiday and travelling, such as wearing facemasks, avoiding handshakes and observing physical distancing to curb the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and preserve public health and safety.

The Health Ministry on Wednesday registered 1,320 confirmed cases and 873 recoveries, while the number of active cases stood at 10,023, including 1,348 critical cases.

Statistics showed that the total number of infections in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic reached 444,780 cases, while recoveries totaled 427,462, noting that Wednesday witnessed 17 deaths related to the COVID-19, taking the death tally in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to 7,295. Moreover, 93,145 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests for COVID-19 were conducted in the Kingdom’s laboratories.

The Ministry also called on the public to contact the call center 937 round the clock for consultation and inquiries related to the virus and to receive information and updates of the COVID-19.

World Health Assembly adopts a resolution in favor of Occupied Syrian Golan and Occupied Palestinian territories

Geneva, World Health Assembly, the decision-making body of the World Health Organization (WHO), has adopted a resolution on equitable, secure and non-discriminatory way access of the people of occupied Syrian Golan and Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territory, including east Jerusalem in accordance with the provisions of the international law.

The resolution on health conditions in in Occupied Syrian Golan and Occupied Palestinian Territories garners 83 votes in favor, 14 against.

In its 74th session held in Geneva, the Assembly called upon the WHO to continue strengthening partnerships with other UN agencies to enhance capabilities of humanitarian health respond in occupied Syrian Golan and occupied Palestinian territories, including east Jerusalem through providing comprehensive and sustainable assistance and protection during the Coronavairus pandemic and after its end.

The Assembly also urged the Who to provide technical assistance needed to meet the health requirements and support the Palestinian health sector and providing technical assistance in the health domain to the Syrian people in occupied Syrian Golan.

Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, Ambassador Hussam Eddin Ala said, in his speech during the meeting, that the systematic discriminatory practices imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities in an attempt to obliterate the geographic, and demographic features of the Syrian Arab Golan and impose its illegal occupation, constitute a flagrant violation of the commitment due to the international humanitarian law and violation of the international principles endorsed by the WHO constitution.

Ala condemned the Israeli occupation’s massacres perpetrated during its latest aggression on Gaza Strip, which claimed the lives of more than 250 Palestinians, among them 66 children, and causing injury of about 2000 others and destruction of 30 health facilities.

The Ambassador stressed importance of ensuring protection for the Palestinian people and mobilizing international support to the Palestinian health sector which has been primarily damaged due to the Israeli occupation’s practices and siege on Gaza Strip.

Ala called upon the WHO to implement the resolutions issued by the World Health Assembly on submitting periodical reports on the conditions in the occupied Arab territories and providing aid in the health sector to the Syrian citizens in the occupied Syrian Golan.

He concluded by warning against the Israeli occupation’s attempts to impose its mandate on the occupied Syrian Golan in a flagrant violation of the UN Security Council’s resolution no. 497 for the year 1981 which rejected the aforementioned resolution and considered it as null and void and has no legal effect

Syrian delegation, headed by Health Minister Mohammad al-Ghabbash, takes part in the activities of the 74th session of the World Health Assembly currently held in Geneva.

Supported by KSrelief, ALC in Taiz Continues Providing Medical Services to Beneficiaries

Taiz, The project of the Artificial Limb Centre (ALC) in Taiz Governorate, Yemen has provided various medical services to those who lost their limbs from the Yemeni people with the generous support being provided by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).

In a statement, Mohammad Al-Shelly, ALC’s Coordinator in Taiz, said that the center transferred 11 people to Taiz, as artificial limbs have been fixed for them. He added that the first batch includes 50 individuals.

This comes as a part of the qualitative humanitarian projects being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to alleviate the suffering of Yemeni people as a result of the humanitarian crisis.

MBSC Announces Launch of MBSC Case Center

Riyadh, The Prince Mohammed Bin Salman College of Business and Entrepreneurship (MBSC) has announced the launch of the MBSC Case Center. The Center, as the first of its kind in the Kingdom, will develop and disseminate regionally relevant business case studies with a focus on Saudi Arabia.

Established to reinforce MBSC’s student-centric approach and sharpen students’ understanding of the local and regional business environment, the Center positions MBSC as a world-class business school. It currently has more than 100 case studies in its repository focusing on local and regional start-ups as well as established businesses and industries and captures key developments in the Kingdom’s drive to realize the goals of Vision 2030.

Through its upcoming workshops, the Center will encourage the local academic community to contribute towards the growth of region-centric knowledge.

MBSC has also established the region’s first case-dissemination platform to promote knowledge-sharing and provide institutions, companies and individuals access to high-quality, premier case studies and contribute to regional thought leadership in the fields of business and entrepreneurship.

Dean of the MBSC Dr. Zeger Degraeve said “At MBSC, we pioneer by aligning case studies with the college’s priority areas in strategic research. By capitalizing on the research skills of our faculty, we seek to drive impact with quality input. Through its continued growth in the years to come, the Center will significantly contribute towards the school’s goal of developing a new generation of transformative leaders who think creatively and act boldly.”

The Interim Head of External Relations at MBSC, Tariq Makhtoom, commented: “High-quality local and regional case studies allow us to enhance the curriculum’s content, draw wisdom from the local context, and ensure that education is shaped by the needs of the local labor market. Ministry of Health: Double Coronavirus’ Effect for the Elderly, those with Chronic Diseases, Immunization Important for Their Safety

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health pointed out here today that the effect of the Coronavirus doubles for many folds for the elderly and those with chronic diseases, subsequently, immunization is an important step to protect them and decrease the risk of the infection.

On the other hand, it announced that as many as 1,389 new confirmed infections were reported against 912 recoveries, while the number of active cases rose to 9,593, including 1348 in critical conditions, in the last 24-hour.

The tally of infections in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stood at 443,460 against 426,589 recoveries, while the fatalities rose to 7278 as 14 deaths were reported.

As many as 89182 lab tests have been conducted, too.
