HRH Crown Prince Receives Scholars, Ministers, Senior Officials and Citizens

Madinah, April 8, 2022, SPA — His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, received today at Taiba palace in Madinah, a number of scholars, ministers, senior officials and a group of citizens who came to greet him.

At the outset of the reception, verses from the Holy Quran were recited.

Then, the audience was honored to greet HRH the Crown Prince.

The reception was attended by Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah region; Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal, Deputy Governor of Madinah region; Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Cabinet’s Member; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard; Prince Saud bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture and a number of Ministers.

Russia welcomes establishment of Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen

Moscow– Russia today welcomed the establishment of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, expressing its hope that the new council will do everything in its power to bring peace to this country, which has historical relations with Moscow.

A statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, published on the ministry’s website, said: “Moscow welcomes the establishment of a new comprehensive authority in Yemen, comprising representatives of the various social and political forces in the country. We hope that members of the Presidential Leadership Council will do everything in their power to stabilize the situation in Yemen and restore this historically friendly country to a peaceful life”.

The Russian Foreign Ministry indicated that this important event for the Yemeni people came as a result of the political and diplomatic efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States aiming at resolving the military and political crisis in the Republic of Yemen.

Egypt welcomes establishment of Presidential leadership Council in Yemen

Cairo– Egypt has welcomed the establishment of the presidential leadership council in Yemen to complete the implementation of the tasks of the transitional period, and delegate it to the full powers of the President of the Republic in accordance with the constitution, the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanisms.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Egypt sees this step as an important development, as we hope it will lead to crossing brotherly Yemen to safety and stability by reaching a Yemeni-Yemeni consensus to cross the transitional phase and end the conflict.

Jordan Welcomes Yemen’s New Presidential Leadership Council

Amman, April 7, 2022 — The Government of Jordan on Thursday welcomed the announcement of Yemeni President Abd-Rabbo Mansour Hadi to establish a Presidential Leadership Council – according to the Yemeni constitution and the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanisms – and delegating the council with all powers of the president of the republic to proceed with the duties of the transitional period.

In a statement, Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates’ spokesperson Ambassador Haitham Abu Ful said that Jordan supports efforts to reach a political solution for the Yemeni crisis, based on the approved references, namely the GCC initiative and its executive mechanisms, the Yemeni Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference, and the UN Security Council resolution No. 2216 to bring peace, safety and security in Yemen and end the suffering of its people.

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan commended economic support offered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to Yemen to support the Yemeni economy, alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and to finance the Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP) announced by the United Nations.

Bahrain Welcomes Yemeni President’s Decision to Announce Establishment of Presidential Leadership Council

Manama– The Kingdom of Bahrain has welcomed the announcement of Yemeni President Abd-Rabbo Mansour Hadi, to establish the Presidential Leadership Council to proceed with the duties of the transitional period, and delegating the council with all powers of the president of the republic according to the constitution and the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanisms.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Bahrain’s full support for the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council to continue the efforts and duties entrusted to the Council to manage state affairs, proceed with the duties of the transitional period, achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security, stability and development, and end the Yemeni crisis through a comprehensive political solution between the Yemeni parties to achieve peace, development and prosperity for Yemen and its people.

Dr. Al-Hajraf affirmed the GCC’s support to the Presidential Leadership Council to enable it practice duties in everything that would achieve security and stability in the Republic of Yemen and end the Yemeni crisis so that the Yemeni people would enjoy prosperity, development and peace, wishing the Presidential Leadership Council, led by Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi and its members, all success in carrying out its national responsibilities, especially at this historical stage, to serve Yemen and its people.

OIC Secretary General receives Dean of Group of Consuls General of African Countries in Jeddah

Jeddah– Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hussein Ibrahim Taha, received today the Consul General of the Republic of Gabon and the Dean of Group of Consuls General of African Countries in Jeddah, Abdelaziz Branly Oupolo.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen relations that bring together the organization with Africa, and the challenges facing the African continent, especially in the field of food security.

Head of IDB Meets with Head of BoD of Governmental Agency for General Services of Azerbaijan

Jeddah– Dr. Mohammed Al-Jasser, President of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB) has received in his office in Jeddah Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations of Azerbaijan Ulvi Ramiz Oglu Mehdiyev, it was reported today.

During the meeting, which took place yesterday, the two sides discussed ways of tranferring Azerbaijan’s experience in the field of electronic government to IDB member states through the cooperation program among countries of the South.

King of Bahrain Receives Minister of Justice

Manama, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain received here today Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who is also President of Supreme Judicial Council, Sheikh Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al-Samaani.

At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Al-Samaani conveyed greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, to the King of Bahrain, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people steady prosperity and progress. In turn, the King of Bahrain sent his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince, wishing the Saudi people further prosperity and development.

The King of Bahrain expressed his pride of the close and solid historical relations that bind the two brotherly countries at all levels, affirming the importance of these fraternal visits that contribute to strengthening and developing cooperation, coordination and joint action, especially in the judicial field.

King Hamad praised the efforts and good endeavors of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in consolidating the bonds of the Saudi-Bahraini relations and advancing the foundations of fraternal cooperation.

For his part, the Saudi Minister expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the King of Bahrain for his keenness and constant interest in strengthening the distinguished historical relations between the two Kingdoms and their two brotherly peoples, hailing the great development witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in all fields.
