Kut The civil defense teams put out a fire that broke out inside its transformer with a capacity of (25) megawatts at Al-Hindiya Power Station in Wasit Governorate.
The Director of Civil Defense in Wasit, Brigadier General Samir Razzaq, told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the fire was brought under control and prevented it from spreading to the rest of the station without causing casualties.
He explained that the cause of the fire was a technical accident that led to an electrical short and a fire.
