Custodian of Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince Launch the National Campaign for Charitable Work, Donating SR50million

Riyadh, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, today launched the National Campaign for Charitable Work, the second annually in a row, with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques donating SR30million and HRH the Crown Prince donating SR20million.

This comes within the great interest the prudent leadership attaches to charitable work in continuation to their keenness to encourage the values of charity and stimulate female and male citizens and expatriates to enhance social solidarity in this blessed month.

To mark the occasion, the Head of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, who is also Chairman of the Supervisory Committee for the National Platform for Charity (Ihsan), extended thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for their generous donations which embody the wise leadership’s interest in supporting charitable work in all fields as a firm methodology experienced by female and male citizens.

Dr. Al-Ghamdi also extended gratitude to and appreciation of HRH the Crown Prince for the great support he is lending to Ihsan platform, confirming that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has occupied pioneering international positions in the field of charitable work. He added that investment in artificial intelligence to build an effective digital system, like Ihsan platform, which provides simple, safe, authentic and highly-efficient means of donation, matches with the goals of the Kingdom vision 2030 aiming to stimulate the non-profit work sector and upgrade its contributions in developing the society.

Ihsan platform launched its second national campaign for charitable work following the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques of this step, in continuation to the the successes achieved by the first campaign which scored unprecedented achievements to secure the empowerment of the charitable work sector and enlarge its impact, facilitating the access of donations to more than SR1.47 billion benefiting more than 4,465,000 females and males.
