Deputy Speaker of Parliament condemns the terrorist operation targeted the Federal Police in Kirkuk

Baghdad, The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, condemned the terrorist operation of the terrorist organization ISIS, which targeted the federal police forces in al-Riyadh district of Kirkuk Governorate, and resulted in the death of a number of members of the federal policemen, including an officer.

Abdullah demanded, according to a statement by his media office, “the need to speed up the deployment of the Joint Brigade in the soft areas to hold the ground, and to re-evaluate the security plans with accuracy and high responsibility in line with the size of the threats.”

He called for ” establishing a blocking line in the west and south of Kirkuk to prevent the infiltration of terrorists into the center and north of the governorate, redouble the intelligence effort and involve the people of the province to manage the security file and take responsibility with the forces holding the land, cut off funding and supplies for terrorists by some influential parties, and take extreme measures and plans in order to maintain security and stability in Kirkuk.”
