Energy Minister Discusses Aspects of Energy Cooperation with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Thailand

Riyadh, A virtual meeting was held between Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Supattanapong Punmeechaow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of the Kingdom of Thailand, where both sides have confirmed that they would strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two countries in the energy sector.

The two ministers emphasized the importance of supporting the stability of global oil markets by encouraging dialogue and collaboration between producing and consuming countries, and the need to ensure access to secure supplies of all energy sources in global markets, noting that the Kingdom continues to be Thailand’s major crude supplier and trusted partner.

During the call, both ministers stressed on the importance to encourage both teams to work on different collaboration opportunities such as hydrogen, CCUS, renewable hubs and other areas of mutual interest, and recognized the importance of signing the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of Energy.
