GCC Secretary General Receives Phone Call from Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman

Riyadh– Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi received a telephone call today from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi on the occasion of the commencement of his duties as Secretary General of the Cooperation Council.

 

During the conversation, the Omani Minister congratulated the GCC Secretary General for the occasion and wished him success in carrying out his duties.

 

For his part, Albudaiwi expressed gratitude and appreciation to the leaders of the GCC countries for granting him this confidence and assignment, emphasizing that the effort to realize the admirable objectives for which the Cooperation Council was founded and to move forward with achieving successes within the framework of the joint Gulf action process is in keeping with the directives and views of the leaders of the GCC countries.

 

Furthermore, the GCC Secretary General emphasized the importance of consolidating the status of the Cooperation Council at the various regional and global levels. He expressed his aspiration to work closely during the Sultanate of Oman’s presidency of the 43rd session of the Supreme Council of the GCC.
